My approach to the practice of law is simple:
Your case will be as important to me as it is to you.

If you retain me as your laywer, I will waive your appearance at arraignment and enter a written not guilty plea on your behalf. This will allow you to go about your day rather than sitting in court for three hours simply to enter a not guilty plea in person. In addition, I will likely file motions to do some or all of the following:

  • Demanding that we provide a copy of all evidence in the case including the police reports, accident report (if any), video at the scene or the police station, and information on chemical testing of the breath, blood or urine;
  • Attacking the legal sufficiency of the charging document; and
  • Moving to suppress certain evidence in the case.

After the arraignment, another court date will be scheduled roughly a month later that is called a "pretrial conference". I can also waive your appearance at this court date. YOu will simply need to sign a waiver of presence form that I will file with the Court. You in fact will not need to appear in court until the case is ready for a resolution.
